Everyone has a need for encouragement. The right word or act at the perfect time can spark the hope a person has into a flame that will carry them through anything they face. When Joshua was about to face unknown and overwhelming responsibilities God came to him with words that ring in our ears today. To Joshua God gave the formula and the method for success. No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. “Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:5-9) NIV
In these 27 years we have been broadcasting to our communities we have been allowed to be a means of encouragement to thousands. Because we focus on God’s Word it is as if the Lord were saying to each listener – “I know what you need today, here it is—know my attention is on you and my arm around you. Go forward there are others who need to know”. When the right person speaks the right words you just have to draw strength and courage from what is promised.
You might say WCIF is now at a point where we need your encouragement. As we begin our 28th year on March 10 we will be looking for God to commission this ministry for another year of all Christian broadcasting. We have asked God for the funds to operate this next year. During Sharathon we fully expect God to encourage His people to stand with us. We feel YOU are one of those God will use to help us help others for the next year. It is an overwhelming feeling when someone contacts us to tell how God used WCIF to speak to him or her. It is awesome to me because I know many generous people have made it possible for them to hear. Please be one of those generous friends this year.
